Mint and redeem with gold
The full loop the reserve depends on, with test gold. On testnet only MockXAU can be used in practice; bridged Paxos PAXG is listed but empty, because Paxos's faucet does not dispense it.
Take MockXAU
On the get page, press Take 0.05 MockXAU. Each address can take 0.05 oz every 24 hours.
Approve and mint
Enter an amount of MockXAU, press Approve and confirm, then press Mint and confirm. The page shows the USDMD you will receive before you confirm, and the transaction refuses anything more than 0.5% worse.
Check the reserve
Your MockXAU is now in the reserve contract, and your mint appears under recent mints on the reserves page.
Approve and redeem
Enter an amount of USDMD, press Approve and confirm, then press Redeem and confirm. MockXAU comes back to your address at the oracle price, less the 0.10% fee.
Note
A mint can be refused for a reason outside your control: a stale price, a paused mint, a full daily cap. The page decodes the reason. Redemption is never paused.
