Gold storage · Singapore · PlannedEN

Buy physical gold, own the bars, keep them in Singapore.

Krysos is setting up a service that sells investment gold and stores it for you in an allocated vault in Singapore. The bars you buy are yours, listed by serial number in your name. They are never lent, never pledged, and never counted as backing for any token unless you choose to convert them.

Not open yet

Krysos does not sell or store gold today, and takes no orders, deposits or payments for this service. It opens only after the Singapore company that runs it is registered as a precious-metals dealer and its vault, insurance and custody agreements are signed. Anyone offering you Krysos gold storage today is not Krysos.

How it is designed to work

These steps describe the planned service. Fees, minimums and the opening date will be published on this page before it opens, and not before.

01

Open an account

Identity checks, source-of-funds checks and sanctions screening for every customer, as Singapore's rules for precious-metals dealers require.

02

Buy

Choose how you hold your gold, see the price before you pay, and pay by bank transfer.

03

Bars allocated to you

Specific bars move from the company's stock into your account, and title passes to you. Your invoice and bar list show each bar's refiner, serial number, weight and fineness.

04

Stored in Singapore

The bars sit with an independent vault operator, insured and counted by an independent inspector. Your ownership record is published daily.

05

Sell, take delivery, or convert

Sell your bars back at the published bid price, withdraw them in Singapore or have them delivered, or, once XAUMD launches, convert them into XAUMD tokens.

Two ways to hold

Both are allocated: you own identified bars, not a claim on the company.

Pooled allocated

A share of identified bars held together with other customers, with a small minimum, so you can buy by weight rather than by the bar. The lower storage fee of the two.

Segregated kilobars

Whole 1 kg bars, each recorded in your name alone. For larger holdings. The higher storage fee of the two.

Fees are not set. They will be published here, with the buy and sell-back spreads and the delivery charges, before the service opens.

What the terms are to promise

Your bars are yours

The company and the vault hold your bars as custodians. They are not the company's assets, and the company's creditors have no claim on them.

Never lent or pledged

Bars are never lent, leased, pledged, used as collateral or used in derivatives. Gold that has been lent is no longer allocated: its owner is left with a claim on the borrower.

Never anyone else's reserve

Stored bars back nothing but their owner's account. They are never counted toward any token's reserve, buffer or yield product.

A direct line to the vault

A three-party agreement lets you instruct the vault directly if the Krysos company fails.

Insured in your name

A specie insurance policy for stored gold names customers as loss payees, with transit cover for deliveries. The vault operator's own cover is not relied on.

Counted, not only reported

Bar-by-bar counts by an independent inspector twice a year, and at least one unannounced. Each bar serial appears on exactly one list.

From bars to tokens, only if you choose

The specification keeps gold in separate pools, and each bar sits in exactly one. Your stored gold becomes token backing only when you convert it.

  1. Your storage

Your bars, in your name. They back nothing but your account.

  2. You convert bars to XAUMD
  3. XAUMD trust

Bars held by an independent trustee for all XAUMD holders, one XAUMD to a gram of fine gold.

  4. You sell XAUMD for USDMD
  5. USDMD reserve

XAUMD tokens, a short gold hedge and Krysos capital. It backs USDMD.

Converting stored bars into XAUMD exchanges your specific bars for a share of the trust's bars. Selling XAUMD for USDMD is a sale of gold for a dollar claim: USDMD does not give you access to your old bars. XAUMD is planned for Phase 2, and this layered design is the specification's recommendation, not yet a decision.

Who runs it, and where

A Singapore company, bars only

A Krysos company in Singapore, now being set up, is to buy, sell, store and deliver bars. It never issues, sells or redeems tokens; the token issuers are separate companies outside Singapore.

An independent vault

Singapore is a kilobar market, open in Asian hours, and investment gold is exempt from GST there. The vault operator is to be chosen by tender, and it will not be owned by the Krysos group.

Bars from the LBMA list

Only bars from refiners on the current LBMA Good Delivery list, delivered direct by an approved carrier with a certificate of analysis.

Before it opens

Each of these comes first. None is done yet.
